Last week on the Tall Ships Voyage we were fortunate enough to head back into the Solent through the Western approach at sunset, on a lovely calm evening. We anchored in Alum Bay for dinner and watched the sun gently slip below the horizon with the Needles off our port bow (the furthest western point of the Isle of Wight).

The following photos are from our anchorage as the evening progressed into one of the best sunsets I have witnessed from the sea.
